The clinic was in great need of both functional and cosmetic improvements to allow more patient 'support areas' on the main floor. To accomplish this, the patient files were relocated to the upper level. Due to
the weight of the files, the floor framing was supplemented by new 'micro-lam beams'. For the files to be accessible to staff, a dumbwaiter from the main nurse station to the medical records area was installed. The lab was relocated to be central to the exam rooms. There are 4 sets of 3 exam rooms, each with a 'doctor's pod', or mini nurse station. The entry has 2 distinct waiting spaces, and is anchored by an oversized and brightly colored 'mobile'.
